SHIRT TRENDS

CHECK PATTERN ALL OVER

The plaid pattern is back in fashion heaven. No matter whether it is a large check, a small check, classic in basic colors or brightly colored … the check pattern is making its comeback. The checkered shirt therefore is the it-piece.

BACK TO THE BASICS

A shirt in white, blue and gray is part of every man´s basic equipment. And it is precisely these basic pieces that offer so many opportunities to experiment, because the “simple” items of clothing are the ideal starting point for exciting looks. Whether in the office or in leisure time.

PRINTS & COLORS

If men want something more extravagant, then they go for shirts with prints and unusual colors. There are no limits to creativity. Have fun combining!

FITS

SLIM FIT

For the athletic man with a flat belly, as the fit is tight and tailored. Both muscular torsos and slim silhouettes come into their own here. The best way is to combine slim fit shirts with slim trousers and tailored jackets.

COMFORT

For the well-built man, the straight-cut shirt offers high comfort and maximum freedom of movement. Dark colors and vertical stripes also stretch optically.

COLLAR VARIETY

Regardless of whether it is for shirts or blouses, the variety of collars is huge, but what do the different collars actually symbolize?

THE 3 MOST COMMON COLLARS FOR HIM:

KENT COLLAR

perfect for every occasion, because shirts with a Kent collar are real all-rounders. They look great not only with a suit, but also with jeans and a leather jacket. Both open and buttoned, with or without a tie, the Kent collar is a classic and yet versatile. The New Kent is a bit more modern – a slightly less pointed modification of the classic Kent collar.

SHARK COLLAR

The main feature of this collar are the widely spaced collar tips, which are reminiscent of shark fins. This makes the shirt extravagant, fashionable and yet formal.

BUTTON-DOWN COLLAR

With this collar one likes to do without ties, because this variant is sporty and uncomplicated. The button-down is the most casual form of all collar variants and has the special feature that the collar tips are provided with a small button that can be used to fix the collar to the shirt. The advantage is that nothing can slip now. These shirts are therefore perfect for the leisure area and can also be ideally combined with a jacket, sweater or cardigan.

TIPS AND TRICKS
TO FIND THE RIGHT SHIRT

The top seam of the shirt should run along the shoulder

The fabric under the arm must not be stretched or pinched

The shirt should fit close to the chest but not stretch or burst open at the buttons

The distance between the neck and the collar should be a finger’s breadth when the top button is closed

The shirt must not slip out of the pants when bending down and sitting

The hemline should end at about the same level as the belt
